Hi, I'm Dr. Robin Ure. I have been practicing chiropractic for 20 years, mostly in the state of Kansas. We recently relocated to Amarillo for my husband's employment. We are now empty nesters and we're excited to see what the second half of life has in store for us in the great state of Texas!
I completed my undergraduate studies at Fort Hays State University and then moved on to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO where I earned my BS in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic.
What People are Saying
I have always had a fear of going to a chiropractor. I met Robin and she’s been lovely. After getting the courage I finally got an appointment and man I wish I’d done it sooner!! Robin was amazing, and it wasn’t at all what I feared! Highly recommend.
If you're nervous about visiting a chiropractor because you don't like all the cracking, go see Dr. Robin! Her activator technique is so very gentle yet effective. I leave feeling amazing every time.
My visit to Power Within Chiropractic was exactly what I needed. Robin got me in quickly and I felt relief from my hip/back pain after my session with her. I was able to go back to work and finish out my day with zero pain.
Discover answers to common inquiries below
Does chiropractic hurt?
There may be some tenderness when pushing on an area of injury or stress. But the adjustment itself does not hurt. It is a very quick movement and happens before the muscles and tissues have time to tense up.
I'm scared to get my neck popped, should I avoid chiropractic care?
Only you can ultimately decide if you want to receive a chiropractic adjustment. Our technique does not require turning the head and introducing a force into the spine. Even though the probability of injury from any chiropractic treatment is extremely small, this technique is very comfortable for all people of all ages.
Who can get an adjustment?
Almost anyone can get an adjustment, and virtually every person needs chiropractic care, from newborns to the elderly. The only thing stopping anyone from being getting an adjustment here is if they physically can not get on to the adjusting table.
Will I have to take X rays?
We generally don't request x rays at the beginning of treatment, unless there has been a trauma and we need to rule out any fractures or other pathology. If we get into treatment for a couple of weeks and there is not improvement as expected, we may request to have x rays or an MRI taken. If you have had x rays or MRI in the past, please let your doctor know.
Do you take insurance?
We have chosen not to be in network providers with any insurance plans. The cost of administering insurance becomes too high, which in turn causes us to raise our prices and make it unaffordable. Insurance companies also like to dictate the type and amount of care that we provide. We like the treatment plan and decisions to be made between the doctor and the patient.
How much will it cost?
The cost of the initial assessment is $60. Subsequent adjustments are $40 each. The number of adjustments needed will vary from person to person and episode to episode, which will all be determined by case history and exam. We do offer packages that can help save some money when needing to come in for multiple adjustments or those that want to plan out their regular maintenance in advance.
